For example, research has shown that trans women who transition early in their careers experience a decrease in testosterone levels, which can lead to a decrease in muscle mass and an increase in body fat. This could lead to a disadvantage in sports that involve strength and endurance.

     Second, trans athletes are already facing a lot of discrimination and prejudice. This rule would only add to that. Trans athletes already face a lot of discrimination from their peers and from the general public. This rule would only make that situation worse.

     Finally, this rule would be unfair to the cisgender athletes who are competing against trans athletes. If this rule were to go into effect, it would be unfair to cisgender athletes who are competing against trans athletes because they would have an advantage over them. This is because cisgender athletes would still be able to use the bathroom and locker room that corresponds with their gender identity, while trans athletes would not be able to do that. This would be a big disadvantage for trans athletes.
