Brighton want Roberto De Zerbi to replace Sami Hyypia as their new manager and are keen to sign him up

     Roberto De Zerbi has admirers at Chelsea, however, the Italian has already outlined a potential problem which could deter him from succeeding Graham Potter.

     The Brighton head coach is said to be a top candidate for the vacant Chelsea managerial position, however, the Italian has already stated that he would not want to move to Stamford Bridge if he is not given complete control over the team.

     De Zerbi is a highly respected coach, having led Brighton to the Championship play-offs in his first season in charge. However, he has also made it clear that he wants to be given complete control over the team if he is to take the job at Chelsea.

     This could be a stumbling block for De Zerbi, as Chelsea are currently managed by Antonio Conte. Conte is a highly successful manager, having led Chelsea to three Premier League titles and two FA Cups. He is not likely to hand over control of the team to someone else, even if that person is De Zerbi.

     Chelsea are currently in the process of appointing a new manager, and De Zerbi is one of the candidates being considered. If he is not given the control he wants, it is possible that he will not take the job at Chelsea.
