Could Romelu Lukaku be the Answer to Chelsea's Striker Problem?

Key Highlights :

1. Chelsea have been told to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club next season to help solve their striker problem.
2. Kai Havertz, who has been playing as a striker this campaign, is the Blues' highest scorer with nine goal across all competitions, two ahead of Raheem Sterling.
3. Lukaku was loaned to Inter Milan at the start of the season after falling out with previous head coach Thomas Tuchel, but former Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor feels the Belgian striker could be used next term.
4. “It’s just their finishing – it’s half-embarrassing when you watch them now,” Agbonlahor told the talkSPORT after being asked about the Blues this season. “Chelsea just need a striker. To have Ziyech, Pulisic and not put Aubameyang in the Champions League squad, it doesn’t make sense to me. “I’d bring Lukaku back. Ivan Toney is also great shout. They need someone who is going to score you goals, all types of goals, and who has played in the Premier League. “It has to be a signing to tie in with Financial Fair Play as well.”

Chelsea have been struggling to find a reliable striker this season, with their highest scorer, Kai Havertz, only managing nine goals across all competitions. To help solve their striker problem, former Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor has suggested that Chelsea bring back Romelu Lukaku, who was loaned to Inter Milan at the start of the season.

Agbonlahor believes that Lukaku could be an ideal solution for Chelsea, as he is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and would not be too expensive to bring back. He also believes that the team could be tailored to Lukaku’s strengths, as he was not getting the service he needed when he was at Chelsea before. Agbonlahor believes that Lukaku would have scored a couple of goals against Real Madrid, as Reece James was putting the ball in the box and Havertz is not aggressive enough to get into the box.

Bringing back Lukaku could be a great move for Chelsea, as he is a proven goalscorer and could help the team solve their striker problem. However, it is important to note that Financial Fair Play regulations may prevent Chelsea from spending too much money on a striker. Nevertheless, Lukaku could be the answer to Chelsea’s striker problem if they are able to bring him back.
