Disney’s “Moana” has been hailed as a cinematic masterpiece, and the story of a brave young woman who sets out on a journey to save her island and its people is emblematic of our culture’s grace, mana and warrior strength. The film is also deeply humbling for its actor, Auli’i Cravalho, who was deeply inspired to take on the role of Moana after watching the Disney animated feature “The Little Mermaid” as a child. Cravalho spoke about her experience working on the film and her deep admiration for the team that created it in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“Moana” is a story about self-discovery and the power of determination, and Cravalho said that she was deeply moved by the film’s message. “It’s really about finding your own identity and standing up for what you believe in,” she said. “It’s a really beautiful story, and it’s really representative of our culture and our society.” Cravalho added that she was grateful to be a part of the film and to be able to share it with the world. “I’m just so deeply humbled by it all,” she said.

“Moana” is currently in theaters, and Cravalho said that she is excited to see what the reaction to the film will be. “I can’t wait for people to see it and to hear what they think,” she said. “I think it’s going to be really amazing.”
