     Hulamin, a Pietermaritzburg-based aluminium company, has made significant inroads as a supplier to the fast-growing electric vehicle market.

     The company counts Tesla as one of its customers, and CEO Gavin du Plessis said the company is seeing "significant" demand for its products.

     "The electric vehicle market is growing rapidly and we're seeing significant demand for our products," du Plessis said.

     "We're very excited about this growing market and we're confident that our aluminium products are the best choice for electric vehicles."

     Hulamin supplies aluminium for electric vehicles such as the Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3.

     The company's products are used in the construction of the vehicles, and du Plessis said the company is seeing a "huge demand" for its products.

     "We're seeing a huge demand for our products, both from Tesla and other electric vehicle manufacturers," du Plessis said.

     "We're confident that our aluminium products are the best choice for electric vehicles."

     Hulamin is also seeing a demand for its products from the automotive aftermarket.

     "We're also seeing a big demand for our products from the automotive aftermarket," du Plessis said.

     "Our products are used in the construction of new cars, and we're seeing a demand for our products from the aftermarket too."

     Hulamin is currently the only company in South Africa that supplies aluminium for electric vehicles.

     The company's products are also used in the construction of other vehicles, such as the Audi A8 and the BMW 740i.

     "We're the only company in South Africa that supplies aluminium for electric vehicles, but we're confident that we can keep up with the growing demand," du Plessis said.

     "We're looking forward to continuing to grow our business and supplying the best aluminium products to the electric vehicle market."
