The royal couple will need a few ingredients to make rømmegrøt. They will need potatoes, flour, milk, butter, and salt. The potatoes should be boiled until they are soft. The flour should then be added and stirred until it is well combined. The milk should be added and the mixture should be stirred until it is smooth. The butter should then be added and the mixture should be stirred until it is melted. The salt should then be added and the mixture should be stirred until it is dissolved.
The King and his Queen Consort will need to prepare the rømmegrøt mixture ahead of time. They will need to refrigerate it for at least two hours or overnight. The rømmegrøt can be served cold or at room temperature. It is usually served with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.
