Kim Min-byeol of South Korea leads the field after two rounds of the MEDIHEAL-Hank

     A star was born at the MEDIHEAL-Hankook Ilbo Championship. Will anyone be able to catch Kim Min-byeol this week? The 19-year-old rookie shot a bogey-free 8-under 64 on Thursday to take the early lead in the first round of the championship. That was good for a three-shot advantage over her nearest competitors, Lee Joo-mi and Roh Seung-hui.

     Kim Min-byeol has been playing golf since she was five years old and has been honing her skills at the Hankook Ilbo Championship for the past two years. She has never been in a position to win a major golf championship, but this week she has a chance to become the first rookie to ever win the Hankook Ilbo Championship.

     Kim Min-byeol is a very talented golfer and she has shown that throughout the course of the tournament. She has been very consistent and has not made any major mistakes. She has also shown great composure in difficult situations. Her 8-under 64 on Thursday was a great performance and it gave her a three-shot lead over her nearest competitors.

     Lee Joo-mi and Roh Seung-hui are both very good golfers, but they will not be able to catch Kim Min-byeol this week. The 19-year-old rookie is playing very well and she is going to be hard to beat. She is going to be a major contender for the Hankook Ilbo Championship and she is definitely someone to watch this week.
