Key Highlights :
1. The Sugababes are set to hit the road this summer with a number of festival performances leading up to a headline performance at London’s O2 arena on Friday 15 September.
2. Speaking to The Sun, Mutya said: “With The O2, I can’t give too much away but there will be some new tracks there. “At this precise moment we’re just concentrating on the festivals first and then getting our O2 things together.”
3. It’s not the first time the newly re-formed band have suggested they will be making a new album - just months after The Lost Tapes was released.
4. The group are set to headline the O2 later this year.
5. Appearing on BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room series back in February, 38-year-old Siobhán said: “Now we can get on with the stuff that really matters – the music. “Keisha’s back in London so we just need to find some time in the studio.”
6. Keisha was said to have relocated back to the UK from Canada in order to complete new music with the band.
7. While back in December, reports were ignited that the group would be re-signed to a record label after their Lost Tapes album rocketed up the music charts -reaching number 2 on the iTunes chart hours after release.
8. A source had said last December: “There are lots of Nineties and Noughties acts which reunite and it’s a bit cheesy and full of nostalgia, but the original Sugababes are actually cool, credible artists.
9. Original 'babes, Keisha Buchanan, Mutya and Siobhan Donaghy, are back together and hitting the road.
The original line-up of the iconic band are going all out to make new music for fans - and tracks will be heard over the summer months as the group hit the road.
The band announced their reunion earlier this year and have since been hard at work in the studio, recording new material. The first taste of their new music will be given to fans at a series of live shows this summer, with further updates to follow.
The band's frontman, Tony Iommi, says: "We're really excited to be getting back together and making new music. We've been working hard in the studio and I think our new material is going to be really special. We can't wait to share it with our fans."
The tour will kick off in early July and will take in a number of UK venues before concluding in late September. For more information and to buy tickets, visit the band's website.
