     The 14th biannual event will be held from April 7 to July 9 across five venues in Gwangju, about 270 kilometers south of Seoul.

     The festival will feature works by 79 artists from around the world, including 30 Korean artists.

     “The Gwangju Biennale is an important platform for artists from all over the world to come together and share their work with the Gwangju community and the wider public,” said the festival’s artistic director, Kim Seung-woo, in a press release.

     “We hope that the Gwangju Biennale will play an important role in deepening our understanding of contemporary art, and in fostering a greater appreciation for the arts in society.”

     The Gwangju Biennale has been described as one of the most important art festivals in Asia, and it has been credited with helping to revive the city’s cultural scene.

     This year’s theme is “Connecting Worlds: Art in a Global Age.”

     The festival will explore the role of art in society, and it will focus on themes such as the power of art to connect people, the impact of art on society, and the role of art in the global community.

     The Gwangju Biennale is open to the public, and it is free to attend.
