The race for the leadership of the 10th National Assembly, especially in the House of Representatives, has split the minority caucus in the federal parliament, with the Peoples Democratic Party vowing not to allow its members to rebel against it. Another major political alliance emerged in the House of Representatives last Thursday, about two weeks after the election of the new speaker.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by the president, Muhammadu Buhari, is said to have won the majority of seats in the National Assembly, but the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is said to have won the most number of votes. This has led to a power struggle between the two parties, with the PDP insisting on retaining its hold on the leadership of the National Assembly.

The PDP has been divided into two factions, with one faction supporting the incumbent speaker, Yakubu Dogara, and the other faction supporting the former speaker, Garba Shehu. The faction supporting Dogara is said to have won the majority of seats in the National Assembly, while the faction supporting Shehu is said to have won the majority of votes.

The PDP is said to have decided not to allow its members to rebel against it, and to instead allow the faction supporting Dogara to take control of the leadership of the National Assembly. This is said to have led to the emergence of another major political alliance in the House of Representatives, between the PDP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The NDC is the main opposition party in the Nigerian parliament, and it is said to have won the most number of votes.

The alliance between the PDP and the NDC is said to have led to the resignation of the majority of members of the National Assembly from the PDP. This is said to have created a split in the minority caucus in the National Assembly, with the members of the caucus supporting the PDP refusing to rebel against the party. The members of the caucus supporting the PDP are said to have formed an alliance with the APC, which is said to have led to the emergence of a majority coalition in the National Assembly.

The new coalition in the National Assembly is said to be made up of the PDP, the NDC, and the APC. The coalition is said to be in control of the leadership of the National Assembly, and it is said to be in charge of the agenda of the National Assembly. The coalition is said to be in charge of the budget of the National Assembly, and it is said to be in charge of the selection of the members of the National Assembly.
