The couple arrived at their honeymoon destination to find the words “forever is not enough” laid across their bedsheets, and the menu for their romantic beach meal also included the same phrase. They were also served their own personalised cocktails called ‘The Sofia’ and ‘The Elliot’. Sofia Richie shared a snap of her spouse sitting at the table surrounded by red roses and lit by fairy lights, lanterns and moonlight, and captioned it “Lucky me! Day to night.”
The couple’s wedding was an emotional occasion for the bride’s father, Lionel Richie, who walked her down the aisle. He told Entertainment Tonight: “I mean, I was crying. It was a great ceremony. I love that it was one of those moments I will never, ever forget.” Lionel has known Elliot since he was nine, so he didn’t have to vet him before his daughter married him. He said to the outlet: “This is (my) baby girl. All I can say to you is, for every dad that’s ever been this way or getting ready to experience it, it is a humbling time in your life. Because you’re handing one of the loves of your life away.”
