Kaizer Chiefs have already bid farewell to Eric Mathoho after 11 years of service at Naturena, but the Siya crew can confirm more players are expected to follow him out of the exit door. Austin Dube, who signed a three-year contract with the Glamour Boys in 2021 with an option to extend for a further two years, is another player likely to be leaving the club.

With new coach Gavin Zwane looking to get over his disappointing first season in charge, Soccer Laduma looks at players whose futures are on the knife-edge. Cole Alexander, Phathutshedzo Nange, Caleb Bimenyimana and George Matlou are amongst those who could make way, owing to a lack of game time in Zwane’s preferred system.

Sabelo Radebe is expected to be sent out on loan. The talented midfielder has seen very little in terms of game time this season and with a long-term contract with the Glamour Boys, the club are keen on allowing him to get more regular gametime elsewhere.

Khama Billiat is another who could be bidding farewell to Amakhosi, barring a drastic salary cut of at least 50%. The Zimbabwean international has been linked with a move away from Naturena for some time, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, a move away from the club looks likely.
