Discover the Miso and Ginger Sauce Sensation at Peko Peko
Key Highlights :
If you’ve been scrolling through Instagram lately, you’ve likely seen the caption “If you don’t get the miso and ginger sauce — you’re a psychopath”. While this may sound like an exaggeration, it’s a sentiment shared by many who have tried the miso and ginger sauce at Peko Peko. Located in both Scarborough and Dunsborough, this sushi and Asian food joint has made quite the impression on locals, and I and half of Perth would highly recommend you try it.
The first time I visited Peko Peko, I was immediately taken aback by the freshness of their food. From their sushi to their rice paper rolls, their dishes are bursting with flavour and are surprisingly filling. The raw vegetable rice paper roll ($7) is one of my favourites, as it’s filled with an array of vegetables, including beetroot and cucumber, and is served with a carrot and ginger dressing. The tofu rice paper roll ($7.50) is marinated to perfection and the Korean sesame noodles with tofu ($14.50) are a great option for a filling lunch.
But the star of the show is definitely the miso and ginger sauce. A small side of this sauce can transform any dish from blah to brilliant. It’s a unique mix of sweet and savoury flavours, and it’s just as addictive as a good TikTok algorithm.
The only downside to Peko Peko is that it’s a bit pricier than other take-away options. If you arrive after the lunch rush, you may also find that some of the dishes you had your eye on have already been snapped up.
If you haven’t had the miso and ginger sauce from Peko Peko, I and half of Perth would recommend you try it. It’s a unique and delicious flavour that you won’t find anywhere else. So, if you’re looking for a fresh and healthy take-away option, be sure to swing by Peko Peko and give their miso and ginger sauce a try. You won’t be disappointed.
