Flying high, a former student at North Lindsey College has officially grown her wings after landing a job as cabin crew for EasyJet. Weronika Wegrzyniak, 19, studied on the Level 3 Travel and Tourism Extended Diploma with the College from 2020 until 2022. Upon completion, she received the equivalent of 3 A Levels at grade distinction, distinction and merit. After completing an intensive three-week course with EasyJet, Weronika relocated from Scunthorpe to London, and is now based at London Gatwick Airport.

Weronika has landed her dream job and is loving every minute of it. She said: “College was a great experience, I really enjoyed it as Travel and Tourism was what I always wanted to study. The tutors were very supportive in my two years, I specifically enjoyed the specialist tourism unit. I am currently loving my new job for EasyJet and cannot wait to travel to more destinations.”

Despite her new career, Weronika will be returning to the classroom in September to talk to the new intake of students at North Lindsey College about her experiences and share her success story with others who are looking for a career in the travel industry. Kayleigh added: “Weronika is just one example of many of our students that have gained their wings this year. She is a great example to other students that are looking for a career in the travel industry and that North Lindsey College is the place to study. The next time you fly, it makes me so proud that one of our former students could be looking after you.”

All Travel and Tourism students who have applied to go to university this year have received offers from their chosen providers. Other students wanting to go straight into employment have progressed onto positive destinations including Tui, Easyjet, Wizz Air, Jet2 and Ryanair.

Thanks to Weronika’s hard work and dedication, she has achieved her dream job and is now flying high with EasyJet. Her story is an inspiration to all those who are looking for a career in the travel industry, and North Lindsey College is proud to have been part of her journey.
