     Channel 5 is set to premiere a thrilling new drama, Blindspot, starring Ross Kemp and Beth Alsbury. The story follows Hannah Quinn (Alsbury), a disabled woman who works monitoring the CCTV on a rough estate. One day, she sees a man she knows to be a violent criminal lead a young woman into a blind spot in the camera coverage. He emerges alone, but when the police arrive, there is no sign of the woman, who appears to have vanished into thin air.

     Convinced that she has been murdered, Hannah must deal with apathetic policeman Tony Warden (Kemp), who is put in charge of the case. With everyone a suspect, who can Hannah trust?

     Kemp was drawn to the project for its clever story about people being watched and how they interpret being watched. The show also stars Crystal Clarke as Amber Bradfield, Sue Vincent as Dolly, Kiran Landa as Geri, Michelle Bonnard as Louisa, Haylie Jones as Zoe Mason, and Milán Bartha Lewis Conway as Simon Wardle.

     The first episode of Blindspot will premiere on Channel 5 at 9pm on Tuesday, July 4. The remaining three episodes will air at the same time on the next three nights.
