After a long absence, the much-loved Circus Mondeo is set to return to Bolton this July. Ringmaster Petra Jackson said it feels ‘like coming home’ and the circus is sure to be a hit with the local community.
Circus Mondeo will be in Bolton from July 19th to July 30th, with performances taking place five days a week at the big top on Wigan Road, opposite the Three Pigeons pub. The two-hour shows will feature a variety of acts for all the family to enjoy, including horses and ponies, a cross bow act, whip cracking, wheel of death, chair balancing, ariel acts, juggling and Kickin Clown from Chile.
Petra is excited to return to Bolton and see the children who used to attend now bringing their own children to the show. She said: “We have many regular customers who come and see us year in year out and we have seen the children grow and those children are now bringing their children to see the show, which is lovely to see that people are still coming out and enjoying live entertainment.
“Because in today’s day and age of computers, tablets, and Netflix where you can just press a button and sit and watch a movie with your family and it doesn’t cost you anything, it's nice to know families are still coming out and enjoying family time together. We have lots of discounts so people can come and enjoy it with their families.”
Performances start each day at 5pm and 7.30pm during the week but on Saturday's the performances are 2pm and 5pm and on Sunday 2pm only. Prices fluctuate depending on where people want to sit but on Wednesday all seats are £7.50, and tickets can only be purchased from the onsite office.
