Scott Arfield has once again snubbed the pre-match huddle of his new club Charlotte FC last night. The former Rangers midfielder had recently penned a two-year deal with the MLS club, but fans quickly noticed his Rangers nod in his time at Charlotte as he didn't fully participate in the huddle.

It all started before the match against Cincinnati, when Arfield was first spotted with his arms by his side during the huddle. Last night, before the loss to CF Montreal, Arfield again stood in the huddle but with his arms by his side.

When asked about his involvement in the huddle during an interview with the media, Arfield said: “I don’t know what that was, but it’s Glasgow so it’s going to become something isn’t it. It was one of them. I don’t even know. I don’t think any ex-Rangers player has ever participated in a huddle as such. But it is what it is. We are all over the age of 12 and we can get on with things.”

Pushed on whether the huddle is called something different in the States, Arfield laughed: “No, just in a different accent!”

It's clear that Scott Arfield is determined to keep his Rangers pride alive, even in his new club. While some may see Arfield's snub of the Charlotte FC huddle as disrespectful, it's clear that the midfielder is just keeping his strong connection with his former club alive. As Arfield said himself, they are all over the age of 12 and can get on with things.
