'Tesco Issues Recall After FSA Issues "Do Not Eat" Warning'

Tesco, one of the UK's largest supermarkets, has issued a recall of a number of products due to a possible health risk for customers with coeliac disease or an allergy or intolerance to gluten. The products affected are Tesco Free From Onion Rings, Tesco Free From Cheese Flavour Balls, and Tesco Free From Bacon Rashers, as gluten is not mentioned on the label.
The products in question have a best before date of December 16, 2023, and come in pack sizes of 150g. A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has said that Tesco has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations to inform them of the recall.
Customers who have purchased these products and have coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten, have been advised not to eat them. Instead, they should return them to the store from where they were purchased for a full refund. Customers with any queries should contact Tesco Customer Services on 0800 505 555.
The recall of these products is an example of an Allergy Alert, which is issued by the FSA when there is a risk to consumers due to the allergy labelling being missing or incorrect, or any other food allergy risk.
