As soon as the grandmother entered the restaurant, she was met with someone swearing and was told to 'shut the f*** up'. Riled up by the waitress's attitude, the grandmother replied: 'If I were younger I'd knock you', to which the waitress played along.
The family member put their arm around their grandmother, as a male member of staff chimed in and told her to 'shut the f*** up'. Unable to believe what was going on, the grandmother turned around to her family and asked: 'Who's picked this bloody place?' Another waiter then hurled another insult at the grandmother, at which point she had had enough of the alternative dining experience and the conflict began to escalate.
Eventually, it becomes clear to the grandmother that the point of the restaurant is to be rude to customers. As the penny drops, she exclaims: 'You're joking!' The waitress responds: 'Welcome to Karen's diner. Come on you silly old b****' - at which point the family erupts in laughter. Thankfully, the grandmother is a great sport after realising what is happening, and she continues to have a pleasant meal.

Despite dishing it out, the restaurant does have it's rules - the teen and his family were forced to pay the £25 drinks bill and leave because rules given to customers upon entry tells them banter doesn't extend to 'body shaming'. The family's poor grandma had no idea what she was in for, she thought she was visiting a regular restaurant and couldn't believe what she was hearing.
