'Danielle Lloyd and Matt Hancock Form Unexpected Friendship on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins'
Key Highlights :
Danielle Lloyd and Matt Hancock have formed an unlikely friendship after taking part in Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The model, 39, and disgraced MP, 44, formed an unexpected bond on the reality TV show, which sees celebrities pushed to their limits while writhing around in mud for charity.
Mr Hancock is no stranger to getting his hands dirty after making it to the final of I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here! last year. In contrast, Danielle is more likely to be getting her glam on for photoshoots. However, despite their very different lives, the mum-of-five said her co-star was keen to meet up after the show, even suggesting they plan a date night with their partners.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Danielle revealed that Matt messaged her after filming to ask if she and her partner Michael O'Neill wanted to go out with him and his partner Gina Coladangelo on a double date. She said: "We’re very different people – I honestly don’t know what we’d talk about, but I’m sure it’d be a fun night. I’d just have to get him drunk."
Mr Hancock is no stranger to controversy, having been caught in an uncompromising clinch in a cupboard with Gina while he was still married to his now ex-wife Martha. The incident caused a stir in the media, and it seemed that many had a pre-conceived opinion of the MP before he even appeared on Celebrity SAS.
However, Danielle said she "didn't have an opinion" about him and wanted to give him a fair chance on the show. She admitted: "I’m definitely not into politics. He was just someone I saw on the news every day when we were being told not to leave our houses. But when I met him, he was nice enough to me – really friendly."
It seems not all celebrities shared Danielle's opinion of Matt, with former footballer Jermaine Penant seen punching the MP after being given permission from Rudy Reyes during a fight challenge on the programme. Jermaine said that his opinion of Mr Hancock hadn't changed after the show aired, claiming that "you all have an opinion about him".
Despite their differences, Danielle and Matt's friendship has blossomed during their time on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The show will give viewers a chance to see how their friendship develops as they are pushed to their limits and made to work together as part of a team. So, be sure to tune in to Channel 4 at 9.30pm to find out what happens.
