Residents across Bolton are in for a treat this summer, as Harwood Library is hosting an exhibition showcasing the humorous verse of comedy impresario-turned-performance poet Steven P Taylor. Steven P Taylor has been a beloved comedian and performance poet for over 10 years. He has written four collections of poetry, including ‘Reflections’, ‘Reflections 2’, ‘2020 Vision’ and ‘Back on Track’, and is currently working on his fifth book. He has performed alongside local musicians and bands and, in the past, has run the Laughing Gas comedy clubs with Phil Cool which have featured Peter Kay, Jack Dee, Jo Brand and many others.
The exhibition will feature poems on a range of topics, such as war, the environment, Covid, Ikea, love/lust, grief, social issues and “general silliness”. Steven has also worked with many stars of poetry like John Cooper Clarke, Henry Normal, Hovis Presley and John Hegley, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until September 30 and is free to enter.
