Exploring the DC Universe with the Titans in 'The Infinite Frontier' Event
Key Highlights :
For Marvel and DC, event comics are intended as a good way to get readers' attention once or twice (or more) per year. Some events clear the deck so a new status quo can be put in place for a year or two, others are meant to boost a character's profile ahead of their jump to TV or film, and others just exist as a means to shake things up for the various heroes and villains for a few months. DC is currently gearing up for its big event of the year, 'The Infinite Frontier', which will see the Titans take center stage and battle an alien starfish known as the Necrostar.
This event will mark the first time the Titans have been featured in a line-wide crossover, and it promises to be an exciting and action-packed story. The event will be written by Tom Taylor (Injustice) and Ivan Reis (Justice League), and the story will revolve around the Titans taking on the Necrostar. The team will have to use all of their powers and skills to defeat the monster, and Beast Boy will be at the forefront of the action, using his shapeshifting abilities to try and battle the creature.
Unfortunately, things don't go as planned and Beast Boy's powers end up creating more problems than solutions. His shapeshifting abilities cause him to become a little too much like the Necrostar, and he sends out spores that turn its victims into animals. This leads to Amanda Waller getting involved, making things even more complicated for the Titans.
The event will span multiple comics, with tie-in stories focusing on characters in Gotham City, Central City, and Atlantis. Writers and artists involved in the event include Chip Zdarsky, Gretchen Felker-Martin, Sergio Acuña, Valentin De Landro, and more. The story is expected to last through early 2024 and will kick off with 'The Infinite Frontier #1' by Andrew Constant and the art team of Brandt & Stein on October 24, followed by the second issue on November 28.
'The Infinite Frontier' event promises to be an exciting and action-packed story, and it's sure to capture the attention of DC fans around the world. With the Titans taking center stage and a big alien starfish to battle, it's sure to be an event to remember.
