Celebrating Britain's Harvest with Channel 5's 'Harvest on the Farm' Show at Barleylands Farm Park
For four weeks, the popular Billericay farm Barleylands Farm Park will be transformed into a TV set for a new prime-time Channel 5 show, Live: Harvest on the Farm. Hosts Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson will be “mucking in” with Britain’s farmers as they bring in the harvest, showcasing the best of Britain’s produce.
The show will feature a variety of activities, including wheat farmers providing daily bread, the age-old craft of corn dollies, and tasting the best of British brews. Chef Tim Bilton will be cooking up the “ultimate super sarnie”, and Yorkshire’s Cannon Hall Farm brothers Rob and Dave Nicholson will go head-to-head in a wonky veg bowling challenge.
Joining the presenting duo will be radio and TV host George Lamb, ITV’s Lorraine and Good Morning Britain resident doctor Amir Khan, JLS star JB Gill, and Reuben Owen from Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm.
The show, airing at 8pm this evening, is set to be an epic celebration of great British food and farming. It is hoped that the show will showcase the “fabulous facility” of Barleylands Farm Park and attract more people to visit the site and explore for themselves.
So tune in tonight at 8pm on Channel 5 to catch the start of Live: Harvest on the Farm and celebrate the best of Britain’s harvest.
