Kelly LeBrock, the star of the iconic 1985 movie Weird Science, made a rare red carpet appearance on Wednesday night, twenty-five years after quittin
Key Highlights :
Kelly looked incredible in a wide-brimmed hat, showing off her slim figure in a fitted black top and trousers. The '80s pinup was all smiles as she posed for photos alongside her male guest.
The star is best known for her role as Lisa in the 1985 sci-fi comedy Weird Science, which quickly became a fan favorite, earning $38.9 million in the box office worldwide. But after her divorce from actor Steven Seagal in 1996, Kelly decided to quit her career and move to a remote ranch in Santa Ynez Valley, California, where she has been living for the last 25 years without having a TV and with very little communication with the outside world.
Speaking to Fox News, Kelly explained that she decided to step away from Hollywood because it wasn't where she wanted to raise her children. She said: "My divorce was very much in the press, and I’m just not a Hollywood girl. Never have been. I never really liked the attention. I wanted to have dirt in my nails and be in the outdoors."
Kelly added that she chose to focus on her children rather than her career, saying: "I could always go back to my career. I could never go back to my children. Some people can do both. But I already had the fame and was done with it. I became famous when I was very young and it didn’t do me a bit of good. It just caused trauma. Being famous is not for everybody."
The star also revealed that she has no computer and limited internet access on the ranch, saying: "I don’t have a computer, though I do have internet. But it's bad service. And I like it that way. I’m very happy."
Kelly has been married three times, first to film producer and restaurateur Victor Drai from 1984 to 1986, then to actor Steven Seagal in 1987, with whom she shares daughter Arissa, and finally to retired investment banker Fred Steck in 2007, though they split after only one year together.
The Visionary Ball was attended by a number of stars, including Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen, as well as Smokey Robinson, Howie Mandel and Jay Leno. The event was a great success, raising funds and awareness in support of patients who face complex neurological disorders.
It was wonderful to see Kelly LeBrock back in the spotlight, looking fabulous and in great spirits after her long absence from Hollywood. The star has certainly come a long way since her days as the iconic Lisa in Weird Science, and is now enjoying a peaceful life on her remote ranch.
