Despite the authorities' lack of information, the Biden White House's agenda of highlighting "crimes against Muslim Americans and Jewish Americans" was quickly adopted by the media.
     On October 7th, a man was taken into custody in Kalamazoo, about 140 miles west of Detroit, in connection with the stabbing death of Samantha Woll. However, the suspect was released from custody soon after. NBC News reported on the release of the suspect, but not before including their desired narrative: "Crimes against Muslim Americans and Jewish Americans have been of increasing concern to police."
     The truth is that there is no evidence to suggest that Samantha Woll's death was a hate crime against Jewish Americans. The timing of the murder, occurring shortly after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel and the devastating Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, might be coincidental. The media's decision to include this narrative in their report is unwarranted and only serves to further their agenda.
     Furthermore, there has been no information released about the suspect, nor any updates on the investigation. The media's lack of transparency in reporting on this case is concerning. If the killer is eventually caught, will we even know?
     It's clear that the media is more concerned with promoting their own narrative than accurately reporting the facts. This is why it's so important to be critical of the news we consume and to question the stories being told. It's only through an honest exploration of the facts that we can hope to get to the truth.
